For the record, my G3 Mac with 640MB RAM & OS 9.04 works fine with
Nikonscan 3.1 on my LS40 IV ED.  I use it as a stand alone application with
batch scanning. I've not yet been able to get the plug-in to work, but I've
only tried once.
