My source in London has dropped their prices on scanners:
Sprintscan 120 is now UKP: 1499 +tax
Nikon SC8000: 2139 +
Nikon LS4000: 1014 +
there is a wait of 6-8 weeks for the 8000 though.
SS 120 is now a bargain here, it is £650 cheaper than the 8000, (almost
$1000), and really there is only digital ICE that separates them.
If you can live without that, or polaroid makes good on its dust busting
software promise, (a big if) then it is looking good value.
