RE: filmscanners: Dust/dirt in SS4K?

This problem occurred recently over a period of a couple weeks on...five
rolls of film taken on two different days. Horizontal, a few pixels
wide. The double-line would fade in and out across the scan, some scans
produced no line, but most did. Then when I left the scanner idle for
about 10 days and started scanning again a couple days ago, no lines.
This also happened a couple months ago for about three rolls of film.
The first time the line was on the lower third of the slide and this
later time it was on the upper third of the slide. Like a piece of dust
got stuck in the scanning path or something, inside the scanner.
