If I recall the Leaf uses Besler 4x5 carriers, and they make (made?) a
4x5 holder with a clever edge clamping system that stretched the film
to perfectly flat with a flip of a lever (or something like that, it's
been years since I used one).  One problem with it is that it uses
sharp points to grip the film edge, and this causes some marring of
the film surface at the edge.  A standard holder is quite sufficient
with most film and a cool light source.
