Re: filmscanners: OT: looking for a directory printing program

I want to thank everyone who made suggestions to me on a method for
printing the directories from my CD-Rs. There were a number of unique
and creative methods offered, and several downloads.

I ended up using a little program suggested called FolderPrint32.zip.
It isn't perfect, in that it only prints one folder level at a time, but
most of these disks are only two levels deep, and being larger graphics,
they only have a few folders per disk. Each folder prints a little 5x5"
insert, double column, and more than one if the number of files
requires. It uses a small font, so about 60 can fit on each "page". It
provides name and size only, no date. It will also print to ZIP size,
and other formats including full page. My only complaint was that due
to the formatting it uses (makes a grid of boxes with the file names) it
is a bit slow at the printing end.

For the couple of CD-Rs I had which had a lot of folders on them, which
would have required one insert size page per folder, I used another
program called PrintFolder Pro (15 day trial version) at no-nonsense
software. The file is called uppro21a.zip. It can deal with several
tree levels, but I didn't like the output. Since it can save to disk, I
reformatted it in Word Perfect. Was a bit of a pain, but it worked.

Thanks again for all the help. I've kept all the suggestions on file,
for later use.
