RE: filmscanners: Kodak RFS 3600

Hi Dave-
A friend of mine recently purchased it, and has had nothing but good things
to say about it. I have one on order, which should be here Monday. I'll be
glad to do a review once I get a chance. I do know B&H just dropped the
price to $999 USD, which to me, made it a much easier decision to purchase
than when it was listed at $1200. I have seen some mixed user reviews, and
some mixed magazine reviews. However, the magazine reviews main drawback on
the scanner appear to be that it's a bit noisy when scanning- which to me is
no big deal as long as image quality is ok. I didn't see many complaints at
all about that, and my friend confirmed that he was satisfied with image
quality, so like I said, I took the plunge.

Does anyone have any information regarding the kodak RFS 3600?

Seems to have impressive specs at a reasonable price, but knowledge is a
good thing prior to dropping cash.
