Routing
Select this parameter to assign the link forwarding type:
- Bridge
- IP
- IPX
- Any combinations of these link types
Protocol
- PPP - Point to Point Protocol. PPP cosists of 3 components:
- Encapsulation menthod of IP datagrams on a serial link.
PPP supports either:
- Asynchronous link with 8 bit of data and no parity
- HDLC synchronous link.
- LCP - Link control procedure to establish, configure, and test the
data link
connection. Having an LCP allows each and to negotiate various
options.
- NCP(s) - A family of network control protocols specific to different
network
layer protocols. The NCPs allow each and configure network control
parameters.
