All Polaroid scanners have been orphans for quite some time
now, I'm sure that affects price.

P.S. - I've still a sprintscan 35 which is undoubtedly worth less
       than the postage to mail it (don't use it though, I use my
       Minolta Elite 5400, also an orphan -- but not for
       as long).  :-)
