Scary, ain't it?  Perhaps one is better off with a high end digital
camera and a copy set up.

Goggle "large", "format", and "scanner" under Google's Advanced Search
function and stand back.  You're talking about real money here,
however.
Epson's 11x17 color scanner is almost $4K US.  The Google search will
return
scanners up to 50" wide.
