[filmscanners] RE: umax film scanners



I do not think the medium formate film scanners actually scan medium format
at 4000 dpi althought I could be wrong and the new ones might.  Typically,
they have scanned 35mm at 4000 dpi and medium format films at somewhat less.
You will need to check on this with respect tothe film scanners you are
looking at.

That's what I needed to hear.  I'm now looking at the Polaroid 4,000dpi
medium format scanner.  I work mostly in 6x7cm, so 4,000dpi should take me
to the capacity of my printer, which is 11x14.  Thanks for the advice.
