[filmscanners] Artixscan 1800f resolution?

The Microtek website for the new 1800f states:

'Another premium hardware feature of the ArtixScan 1800f is its Kodak
43,200-sensor CCD, for optical resolutions up to 3600 x 1800 dpi'

I am wondering if this is misleading. Is this scanner scanning at 1800ppi
or 3600ppi. I normally take the lower number to work out if I will get
enough to print at the sizes I require at 300dpi, and the lower number is
normally the one stated first. Is this scanner scanning at 1800ppi or
3600ppi?

Thanks.

Simon
