[filmscanners] Minolta DiMage Scan Dual III

Several folks have asked (via private email) how I liked my scanner.  So
far I am very pleased with it - it seems to be a very good product for
the price.

Since this is my first film scanner I really have nothing to compare it
to, and being a total novice I have a lot to learn - I'm not quite past
the 3/4 mark in the manual  ;-)

The few scans I have made, I have been very impressed.  This is going to
be a lot of fun and a whole new world as far as my photography hobby
goes.

My favorite photo subject is auto racing.  My current project is to
build a website of downloadable images (ALMS, F1) suitable for
wallpaper, populating the website with scans using the Minolta Scan Dual
III.  When this project is complete I will let folks know so that you
can see some of the output from the scanner.

Comment - I had no idea this was so complicated  :-)  I just got to the
section of the manual with all the charts and graphs and histograms and
how to go about manipulating them.  I've got a lot to learn.
