 [filmscanners] Re: CO2

Is there any reason that using CO2 is superior to using compressed Nitrogen
cylinders?
Nitrogen is an inert substance and is a major component of air (about 80%).

Good point, although if the film is dry, it shouldn't be a problem. As to
the greenhouse gas business, I use a 20 pound cylinder, the same as used in
resturants for soda machines. I use one a year, maybe two if I'm doing a
lot, so I probably don't do as much damage as the average McDonalds.
I am going to try it on something not important, though.
