I'm not going to argue numbers, because it seems as soon as things go
there the matter becomes one of speculation anyway, and besides I've
seen too many cases where the numbers end up giving false impressions.

People should look at the site I suggested (repeated again below and
determine if their eyes seem to show more or less noise in one
technology or the other.

Further, keep in mind while the Foveon uses doped silicon, the bayer
uses a filter matrix which also blocks considerable light via those
color separation filters, and they seem to have very different responses
to the R, G or B filter, in terms of noise levels.
