[filmscanners] RE: Couple of basic questions



I don't think MS is much of a competitor to Adobe in the image editing area,
or at least it wasn't as of the version of Photo Editor that came with
Office 2000. It's not even a color-managed application. The real competition
to Photoshop comes from Corel PhotoPaint and Paint Shop Pro.

Personally, I haven't encountered any bugs since PS5, in the sort of work I
do. And I find the UI of PS7 perfectly acceptable, other than the fact that
there are a few more twiddly little things that I'd like to be able to
customize in the preferences. (Especially, being able to have Save As
default to the last folder saved into, rather than the folder the image came
from.)
