[filmscanners] Silverfast 6 focusing problems (kodak 3600)

I can not get silverfast to produce a sharp image no matter which focusing
mode is selected. The OEM software does produce sharp images. There are
several other bugs in regard to how Silverfast selects which image on the
strip that will be scanned as well as locking up when I attempt to do a full
strip prescan. The full strip scan will work if a single prescan is done
first.

I had focusing trouble with my acer 2720 where silverfast was unable to
focus on the image at all, again the OEM software worked fine.

Any suggestions.
