Yes, I scannned with Vuescan(~35MB). Edited with PS 16bit(~56MB). Then I opened 
with Vueprint & saved with compression;
the file size was around ~23MB (I do not remember exact amount but it was very 
surprising).

My doubt should i use compress using VuePrint?

I saw -just the other day, but can't remenber where on the net - that
Vuescan use a compression option which PS does not use, I think for reasons
of compatibility of older versions.
Could you have compressed again or resized in Vueprint? I think Ed Hamrick
no longer updates Vueprint, so that programme would not use newer
technology.

PS I don't worry about the price of the CD-R's either, but the number of
them and the place they take ... :)
