Most mainframes would be extremely ill-suited to desktop or workstation use,
mainly because the available input and output devices for mainframes simply
do not match what is required for a desktop or workstation. And the
horsepower available on a mainframe really isn't necessary on a desktop, nor
is the I/O bandwidth, so there is no real advantage to using a mainframe,
and numerous reasons for staying away from mainframes.
