  I've seen similar effects, and not necessarily in the shadows.  These
"effects" are why most have chosen not to opt for enabling CM in Nikonscan
... as if the CLUT device profile is assigning inaccurate colors.  It has
been so long since I've changed to Vuescan I haven't seen this in recent
versions of Ns ... have you checked the histogram for disabling Ns's CM???
