[filmscanners] Vuescan, Epson 2450 and autofocus

I was exploring Vuescan, (and cognizant of the various
threads regarding focusing of the Epson 2450), and
noticed that there was an autofocus setting. Because
Ed Hamrick made this setting available, does this mean
al;so that it works? I haven’t had the time to play
around with but from other threads it seems that the
lens was fixed in place so how could it have
autofocus?
