Yes, and as I mentioned before, the 6K unit is one of the 3" ones, not a
7" tube one like the 7K and 8K models.

I have one (or several), but Dave knew in his pinky two orders of magnitude
more than I ever will about 'em!  Wish he were here... (hope he's doing
well in his new adventures).

Probably a pretty small niche, relatively speaking.  When recorders can be
bought at Costco for $39, then there will be a mailing list like this
one for them, etc.  :-)

I'm glad this thread has come up so I can learn about what I'm doing a
bit more.  Most web searching results in just a few dealer sites, and
although they should know what they're doing, they're not entirely
unbiased sources of information (particularly toward Polaroid who's
financial situation probably hasn't thrilled their dealers much).
