I think you forgot a factor of two, to allow for two bytes per color per
pixel.

Also, assuming that 6x6 refers to centimeters, 6 cm is about 2.36 in.

(((2.36x4000)x(2.36x4000))x3x2)/1024 = 522MB

Maybe the real file size is smaller because you have compression turned on.
