[filmscanners] When slides are required (was: Scanning negs vs. slides)

I shoot negs film for several reasons, not the least being need for high speed 
film and exposure latitude with in-theatre stage lighting.  When slides are 
needed I have them made: I'll scan neg, prepare image file as appropriate (the 
important part) then have slide copies written from the image file.
