Nobody ever said that standing up for your rights is easy.  However, it's a
lot easier to stand up for them than it is to get them back once they are
gone.  Remember, you get what you wish for.

_I_ don't care if I miss my flight, so why should they?  However, by the
time I'm done, they will have gained a new respect for the law, or they may
be contemplating a change of career.

I haven't been to the U.S. in years.

Anyway, you say you agree in principle, yet it appears that you won't stand
up for that principle.  As I said above, you get what you wish for.
