Thanks for your inquiry David,

>What are the resolutions of the three versions saved to the CDR?
>How many bits is the scan?

The three sizes are:
2000 by 3000
1024 by 1536
512 by 768
These are all 8 bit JPEG images capable of printing up to 8x10.
Also included is an eXtended Range Digital Negative (XRDN). This is a series
of files that contain virtually all of the information gained during the
scan. It is a 12 bit structure that contains even the information scanned
between images. A customer would use these files to build 8 or 16 bit TIFFs,
PSD, or JPEG files. The resulting images can be used for enlargements well
beyond 8x10.

>Can the customer use the developed film after processing?

The XRDNs are returned to the customer (along with the JPEGs) on a CD
instead of film negatives.

Hello Jack

Just took a look at the PIC press release. Fascinating.

A few details not mentioned in it:

What are the resolutions of the three versions saved to the CDR?
How many bits is the scan?
Can the customer use the developed film after processing?

Salutations, David Lewiston
