Can I use a Firewire to SCSI adaptor with my SS4000?

I think I remember David Hemming mentioning that "unofficially" it was
possible. I know I can "officially" use a USB to SCSI but I was hoping
the Firewire wouldn't slow things down.

The device I want to use (because of availablity) is the BelkinFireWire/
SCSI Adapter - Belkin Part Number: F5U541 - anyone using this with an SS4000?
