I think people are also forgetting that the depth-of-field issue affects
certain negative strips when they're held in the strip-feeder. Not all
strips are affected, and not everyone uses the strip feeder (I certainly
don't). So it's not a major issue for everyone buying, and since there
are workarounds for it (using the glass holder) it's certainly no reason
to write off what is otherwise a very capable scanner - particularly for
those of us who are scanning for fun and personal interest, and not as
part of their professional livelihood.
