[filmscanners] Re: Building PCs ... the RAM.



DDR RAM doubles the memory bandwidth for the same memory bus clock speed by
clocking data on both the leading and trailing edges of the clock.

So if your system takes DDR RAM you should see a performance improvement over
ordinary PC133 SDRAM.

The doubled memory bandwidth  won't translate to a doubled system speed
though, probably 10-15% improvement will be about right.

So it's up to you whether to spend the money for that level of increase.
