        I used multipass occasionally with my FS2710. Like Rob, I saw 
a slight loss in sharpness but usually a noticeable improvement in 
noise levels in dark areas of the slide. I didn't try more than 3 
passes - after that the loss in sharpness presumably caused by 
mis-registration seemed more apparent.
