Sorry, it's true.  We live in NYC and assume too many choices of labs.  Almost 
any minilabs are roller
transport.

It is sometimes possible to befriend some of the workers at these places and 
have then give your film
TLC....Especially if you give them extra time to handle it when they are not 
busy.  Perhaps even a small bribe
would be in order.  ;- )

Several years ago, when I lived in a small town in upstate NY, a professional 
photographer , who was doing a
job in my town, called me to inquire about film labs that did 'clip tests', and 
2 hour turnaround.  I informed
him that there was only 3 day E-6....And no clip testing, obviously.  He 
thought it was archaic, and couldn't
understand how I could work like that.
