The 4000 is not capable of doing long scans. It will only do 24x36 or very
slightly longer. I imagine that the SS120 is the same. It will do 6x9 or
very slightly longer but that is all. The design of the 4000 will not allow
it to do any more. One motor apparently moves the slide or negative into
position and another one moves the sensors. I have the 4000 and still use my
Photosmart for panoramics. I know of no other 35mm scanner that will do
panoramics.
